【摘要】:ThispartofISO4589specifiesmethodsfordeter-miningtheminimumconcentrationofoxygen,inamixturewithnitrogen,thatwillsupportcombustionofsmallverticaltestspecimensunderspecifiedtestconditionsoverarangeoftemperaturestypicallybe-tween25℃and150℃.Theresultsaredefinedasoxygenindexvaluesatthetesttemperature,whichistypicalofthepracticaltemperaturethataplasticma-terialmayexperienceinanoverheatedservicesitu-ation.Methodsareprovidedfortestingmaterialsthatareself-supportingatthetesttemperatureintheformofverticalbarsorsheetupto10,5mmthick.Thesemethodsaresuitableforsolid,laminatedorcellularmaterialscharacterizedbyanapparentdensitygreaterthan100kg/m.Themethodsmayalsobeapplicabletosomecellularmaterialshavinganapparentdensityoflessthan100kg/m.Amethodisprovidedfortestingflexiblesheetorfilmmaterialswhilesupportedvertically.ThispartofISO4589alsoincludesamethod(seeannexA)fordeterminingthetemperatureatwhichtheoxygenindexofsmallverticaltestspecimensinairis20,9underspecifiedtestconditions.Theresultisdefinedastheflammabilitytemperature(FT)andthemethodislimitedtothedeterminationofresultslessthan400℃.Themethodisnotapplicabletomaterialshavinganoxygenindexof<20,9whenmeasuredat23℃.ResultsobtainedinaccordancewiththispartofISO4589shouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardpresentedbyaparticularmaterialorshapeunderactualfireconditions,unlessusedasoneelementofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttotheassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularapplica-tionforthematerial.NOTES1Itmaynotbepossibletoapplythesemethodssatisfac-torilytomaterialsthatexhibithighlevelsofshrinkagewhenheated,e.g.highlyorientedthinfilm.2Forassessingtheflamepropagationpropertiesofcellu-larmaterialsofdensity<100kg/m,attentionisdrawntothemethodofISO3582:1978,Cellularplasticandcellularrubbermaterials?Laboratoryassessmentofhorizontalburningcharacteristicsofsmallspecimenssubjectedtoasmallflame.

【摘要】:Conductivitymeasurementsaretypicallymadeonsamplesofmoderatetohighionicstrengthwherecontaminationofopensamplesinroutinelaboratoryhandlingisnegligible.Underthoseconditions,standardtemperaturecompensationusingcoefficientsof1to3%ofreadingperdegreeCelsiusoverwideconcentrationrangesisappropriate.Incontrast,thistestmethodrequiresspecialconsiderationstoreducetracecontaminationandaccommodatesthehighandvariabletemperaturecoefficientsofpurewatersamplesthatcanrangeashighas7%ofreadingperdegreeCelsius.Inaddition,measuringinstrumentdesignperformancemustbeprovenunderhighpurityconditions.Thistestmethodisapplicablefordetectingtraceamountsofioniccontaminantsinwater.Itistheprimarymeansofmonitoringtheperformanceofdemineralizationandotherhighpuritywatertreatmentoperations.Itisalsousedtodetectioniccontaminationinboilerwaters,microelectronicsrinsewaters,pharmaceuticalprocesswaters,etc.,aswellastomonitorandcontrolthelevelofboilerandpowerplantcyclechemistrytreatmentchemicals.ThistestmethodsupplementsthebasicmeasurementrequirementsforTestMethodsD1125,D2186,andD4519.Atverylowlevelsofalkalinecontamination,forexample,0x2013;1x03BC;g/LNaOH,conductivityissuppressed,andcanactuallybeslightlybelowthetheoreticalvalueforpurewater.(13,14)4Alkalinematerialssuppressthehighlyconductivehydrogenionconcentrationwhilereplacingitwithlessconductivesodiumandhydroxideions.Thisphenomenonisnotaninterferencewithconductivityorresistivitymeasurementitselfbutcouldgivemisleadingindicationsofinferredwaterpurityinthisrangeifitisnotrecognized.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofelectricalconductivityandresistivityofhighpuritywatersamplesbelow10S/cm(above0.1Mohm-cm).Itisapplicabletobothcontinuousandperiodicmeasurementsbutinallcases,thewatermustbeflowinginordertoproviderepresentativesampling.Staticgrabsamplingcannotbeusedforsuchhighpuritywater.Continuousmeasurementsaremadedirectlyinpurewaterprocesslines,orinsidestreamsamplelinestoenablemeasurementsonhightemperatureorhighpressuresamples,orboth.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
